It’s been a great 2016 and I owe it to you, my dear friends and readers who come faithfully to this blog to follow and cook my recipes.
It’s been an exciting year of fun and travel for my family. There have also been moments of sadness and challenges. But together, we faced it all and resolved to be stronger for the coming year.
One of the most exciting things that happened this year was that I was able to publish two books for you, dear readers. To provide calmness and restful moments to fans of Filipino food, I illustrated and published the “Color and Cook Food Coloring Book”. These contain 20 of my original hand drawings inspired by traditional Filipino food. Studies show that coloring books for adults have been known to minimize stress.
And just in time for the holidays, I published the “How to Cook Philippine Desserts: Cakes and Snacks” Cookbook. If you love a sweet ending to meals, this cookbook is for you. I put together 3o favorite Filipino recipes of traditional desserts which I transformed to modern sweets in my American kitchen. Drool over the nearly 100 pages of recipes with 30+ full color, mouthwatering photographs. Enjoy cooking and baking rice cakes, coconut sweets, cakes and pastries traditionally found on the Filipino table. The cookbook recipes are exclusive to cookbook readers only. All my books are sold on Amazon.com or on my Amazon affiliate page here on the blog. My cookbook is available on Kindle and paperback formats.
If you follow me on Instagram you must have seen the “Best Nine on Instagram” I shared a week before Christmas. These recipes are all-time favorites of fans of Filipino food. You can cook most of them all year round. Here are the top favorites you all “liked” with the links to the recipes:
As 2016 comes to a close, I wish you all my very best for the New Year 2017.
Here’s to more dreaming, less worries.
More calm, less chaos
More fun, less work
More time, more laughter, more celebrations, more love
and more good food to share around your table.
Manigong Bagong Taon! Happy New Year to all!
